Your contribution will help support scholarships for tuition, books, and school supplies, and, when necessary, room and board for several young Maya. Currently one young man (Eliza's previous Spanish teacher) is studying Psychology in Xela. His expenses, including room and board, are approximately $230 per month. Another (who I met on a bus and who steadfastly pursued this potential opportunity) commutes to architecture/engineering school each weekend after working during the week. His expenses are approximately $85 per month.) Another (the previous head dyer's half brother) has returned to high school after a five-year hiatus necessitated by lack of funds and the need to work. (His expenses are approximately $85 per month.) Help support these scholarships and help expand out scholarship program to include several young women who would like to pursue high school and/or university studies.
